In 2019, after countless efforts to help my daughter Morgan improve her eating and gain weight, she was diagnosed with failure to thrive and required an NG tube. It was a heartbreaking and overwhelming time for our family. In 2020, after years of searching for answers, Morgan was finally diagnosed with Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD). That diagnosis gave us clarity and a path forward.

We relocated to Columbus so Morgan could participate in an intensive feeding therapy program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. That program marked the beginning of her recovery, and for the first time, we felt hopeful.

Since our time in Columbus, I’ve become deeply involved with Feeding Matters, an organization that has been instrumental in supporting families like ours. I now serve as the chair of the Ohio community council and a member of their Board of Directors. Feeding Matters is a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness and improving the care system for children with PFD and ARFID through advocacy, education, support, and research.

I’m passionate about educating pediatric professionals about early childhood feeding struggles. My hope is to help other families find answers and intervention earlier, so they can avoid the challenges and heartaches we experienced. Together with Feeding Matters, I’m committed to creating a better world for children with PFD.
