Hi all,
I wanted to do something good and make the world a better place. When I found out that pediatric feeding disorder is defined as impaired oral intake that is not age-appropriate, and is associated with medical, nutritional, feeding skill, and/or psychosocial dysfunction, pediatric feeding disorder is estimated to affect more than 1 in 37 children under the age of 5 in the United States1. For these children, eating, drinking, and swallowing are painful and frightening – ultimately affecting their behavioral, physical, and emotional development. Yet, there is no functional system of care for pediatric feeding disorder locally, nationally, or internationally.,
I knew I had to help.
That's why I created a fundraiser to support Feeding Matters. Their campaign to
raise $40,000 to support children with PFD globally. We are asking our key partners to rally their friends, family, and networks to support Feeding Matters. By becoming a fundraising champion for the Call it PFD campaign, you will help more children with pediatric feeding disorder (PFD), and help your friends feel good about doing good. Starting a fundraiser is easy to do, and it's fun. We'll give you all the tools you'll need to make a difference. With your help we can ensure PFD is a household name and no family feels alone.—and you can be a part of it.
