Join me in supporting real change. Let’s support good in the world and make a difference. We are asking our key partners to rally their friends, family, and networks to support Feeding Matters. With your help we can ensure PFD is a household name and no family feels alone.

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for Feeding Matters

Evelynn's journey with Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD) began when she was just 6 weeks old. Despite initially showing a strong appetite, her oral intake gradually declined, leading to concerns about her growth and nutrition. On January 29th, 2023, Evelynn was admitted to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin due to failure to thrive and slow weight gain. The following day, she received an Nasogastric (NG) tube to ensure she received the necessary nutrients.

After a 14-day stay at Children's Hospital, Evelynn was discharged with the NG tube, under the care of the GI team and Speech Therapy. On April 20th, 2023, she underwent surgery to have a G-tube (Mickey button) placed, further supporting her feeding needs.

Throughout her journey, Evelynn has benefited from the support of Feeding Therapy at Children’s Hospital, which also connected her with the Birth to Three Program and Feeding Matters' parent mentor program. Currently, she receives feeding therapy at home three times a week through the Birth to Three program.

Despite facing challenges, Evelynn's resilience shines through. While she's begun showing interest in eating and drinking, feeding remains a daily battle, and she continues to rely on tube feeding. Nonetheless, we are immensely proud of Evelynn's strength and determination as she tackles each day with courage.

Our journey with PFD is far from over, but we're committed to reaching the finish line, running alongside Evelynn every step of the way.
