Our lives totally changed 6 years ago when Finn was born with a swallowing disorder and resulting pediatric feeding disorder; Reed arriving 4 years later with the same diagnoses. It's difficult for most to imagine the stress of being a new mom on top of navigating the healthcare system for a little understood and often misdiagnosed issue. And even I cannot imagine the trauma my boys have experienced living with their medical issues.
Thankfully, our family has been able to afford the specialized care needed for our boys' disorders, but many are unable to afford this care. Many healthcare providers still don't have the tools they need to assist families with these special needs. Let's help by funding an organization that provides education and support in this area. Just a small donation will go a long way to helping us meet our goal for Feeding Matters.
